As India is celebration Azadi Ka Amrut Mahostsav, as part of this celebrations, North India Secition of the Textile Institute Manchester (NISTI Regd) organized its first of the series of commemorative lectures. Dr. Seshadri Ramkumar of Texas Tech University presented a 90-minute invited talk on “Technical Textiles: Quo Vadis?” The talk focused on what is the status of Indian tecnical textiles and ways to grow it. It was followed by energetic interaction involving industry leaders and Ministry of Textiles-India officials among others.
The online event that lasted more than 2 hours was attended by industry participants, Government of India officials, such as Joint Textile Commissioner, Governing Board members of leading textile associations such as The Textile Association-TAI India, students and academics.
